( 4UMF NEWS ) Knicks Player Shot Leaving Strip Club:

A New York Knicks player was shot in the leg during a robbery after leaving a Queens strip club. Cleanthony Early, 24, had just left a club when he was followed by up to six men just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

He was shot on 64th Street in Maspeth, once in the knee cap. Early was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The suspects stole a gold chain and fled the scene.

The victim has played for the New York Knicks and their NBA Development League team, the Westchester Knicks. Early is on the Knicks roster, but has only played in six games this year.

He was with a woman at the time; she was not injured.

Early is originally from the Bronx, but moved to Middletown.
