3 Arrested For Black Lives Matter Shooting

( 4UMF NEWS ) 3 Arrested For Black Lives Matter Shooting:

Three white men were arrested Tuesday for a shooting at a Black Lives Matter protest in Minneapolis that left five people wounded the night before, police said.

One of the suspects, 23-year-old Allen Lawrence Scarsella, was arrested in suburban Bloomington around 11:30 a.m., KSTP reported. He is being held without bail on a probable cause of assault, but has not been charged.

Two other men, 26 and 21, turned themselves in around 2:30 p.m., police said. Their names have not been released.

A fourth suspect, a 32-year-old Hispanic man, was arrested around noon but released after questioning. Investigators believe he wasn't at the shooting scene.

The shooting occurred one block from the Minneapolis Police 4th Precinct Monday night during another day of protests over the fatal shooting of Jamar Clark, a black teenager shot and killed by police earlier this month.

Black Lives Matter rep Miski Noor told the Star-Tribune shots rang out the night before when protesters tried to usher away a trio of white supremacists who were wearing bulletproof vests.

One of the gunmen was wearing a mask and "shouting the 'n-word,' " Noor said.

The Black Lives Matter chapter called the shooting "white supremacist terrorism." Authorities haven't released any details on a possible motive.

All of the gunshot wounds were non-life-threatening, according to police.

Investigators acknowledged there are several videos of Clark's fatal encounter, but none will be released, despite a dispute over whether Clark was handcuffed when he was shot.
