( 4UMF NEWS ) Baltimore Prosecutor Requests To Block Freddie Gray Autopsy:
Baltimore’s chief prosecutor Marilyn Mosby recently filed a motion to block the release of Freddie Gray’s autopsy photographs while prosecuting the six police officers involved in his death, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Mosby doesn’t feel the need to release the autopsy results or other “sensitive” documents due to her belief that she has a duty to ensure a fair and impartial process for all parties involved,” and refuses to “be baited into litigating this case through the media.”
Attorney Ivan Bates – who currently represents Sgt. Alicia White – challenges that Mosby is working to hide something in the autopsy report in efforts to make sure his client “does not get a fair trial.” Bates has proclaimed that “Mrs. Mosby is the one who did an announcement discussing what she said the evidence was in a nationally televised speech,” adding that, “Now that it is time to turn over the evidence, to ask for a protective order is beyond disingenuous.”
Mosby is also working diligently on seeking a gag order to prevent those involved from discussing the case in public.
