Miley Cyrus “Can’t Be Tamed” and her new Cosmopolitan cover is proving it.
The 20-year-old songstress appears on the cover of the mag’s March issue braless, a bold statement of her newfound confidence.
Inside the issue, Cyrus gushes about her soon to be husband, 22-year-old actor Liam Hemsworth.
“Number one is my relationship with Liam,” Cyrus said about her “Hunger Games” beau. “That’s what I feel the most confident in.”
“The other day, I turned on the pool heater and it was steaming, and he walked outside and took off his clothes and jumped in the pool,” she said. “I was like, ‘I’m going faint – – the hottest guy of my life is in a steaming pool. This looks like a Playgirl shoot.’”
The former “Hannah Montana” star also talked about her acting hiatus after Disney, and how it disassociated her from the sweet image she once had.
“I think the best thing I could have done was take those two years off to really live, because now people don’t think of me as who I was on the TV show,” she said. “I never played the Disney game of smiling and being a princess and then suddenly having a hard time, saying, ‘That isn’t who I really am.’”
Ranking love as the number one part of her life she feels most satisfied with, Cyrus tells the mag she’s also satisfied with her family, music and acting, expressing that her artistic creativity is still of utmost priority. While the starlet has 11 million Twitter followers and fans worldwide, it doesn’t stop her from feeling anxious about releasing new music.
“You never know; there’s so much hype behind my new record,” she said. “It could come out and, worst-case scenario, everyone f**king hates it.”
