Bruno Mars Falls Short Of Making History

( 4UMF NEWS ) Bruno Mars Falls Short Of Making History:

Bruno Mars’ magnificent chart run has ended!
The hitmaker’s collaborative single, “Uptown Funk!”, with Mark Ronson, was toppled by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” after spending 14 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
“Uptown Funk!” is the seventh song in the history of the chart that have spent 14 weeks at number one; other songs on the list include ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by Black Eyed Peas, ‘We Belong Together’ by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You.’
If ‘Uptown Funk!’ would have notched another two weeks, it would have tied Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s 1995 collaboration, ‘One Sweet Day,’ which holds the title of 16 weeks in the top spot.
Nonetheless, that was a damn good run by Mars and Ronson.
In related news, “Uptown Funk!” jumps 2-1 on the Adult R&B Songs tally to score each artist their first No. 1 on the airplay chart. According to Billboard, The rise knocks Kem’s “Nobody” to No. 2, after a nine-week No. 1 run.
