( 4UMF NEWS ) Check Out The Birdman Interview With Angie Martinez:
Despite the legal woes, alleged drinks being thrown and indictments handed down, Birdman says he still has love for Lil Wayne.
“What’s going on now, I don’t really know how it’s going to turn out,” Birdman said. “But that’s my son, and I’m going to support whatever he do.”
In part one of an interview with Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez, Birdman sits down with the seasoned radio personality aboard his yacht in Miami, and she inquires how could one of hip-hop’s most formidable record labels get to a point of such chaos.
“A lot of our misunderstanding is because our business got so big and everyone got in our business,” he said. “It’s not just me and him. It’s all these other mother f***ers in the business.”
Birdman alleged to have spoken to Wayne two days prior to the interview and says their relationship isn’t so contentious.
“The media makes it worst than what it really is. Me and my son don’t scream at each other. I’m a man. He respects me as his pops and I respect him as my son. There ain’t never come a day where he’s going to talk to me in a disrespectful manner. We didn’t come from that cloth.”
Watch the 20 minute interview below to hear Birdman’s come up, and his response to allegations he doesn’t always pay people what they’re owed and the first person he’s ever sued.
