Cop Convicted Of Molestation Drinks Poison During Verdict

( 4UMF NEWS ) Cop Convicted Of Molestation Drinks Poison During Verdict:

A retired Georgia police officer found guilty of molesting a 9-year-old girl drank poison in court as his verdict was announced, according to authorities.

Kelless Twohearts Lory, 58, was convicted of two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation Thursday in a DeKalb County court, according to a press release.

While the jury foreman read the verdict, Lory started drinking something from a vitamin bottle, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

After he was taken into custody, deputies learned that the unknown liquid was poisonous, and the newly convicted offender was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Lory has yet to be sentenced, but he’ll be facing two life sentences plus 40 years. The jury found Lory guilty of molesting a family member between July 2011 and July 2012.

Lory was already retired from the Chamblee Police Department at the time of the crime. He had previously worked as a transit cop.
