Glee Star Arrested On Child Porn Charge

( 4UMF NEWS ) Glee Star Arrested On Child Porn Charge:

Former Glee actor Mark Salling was arrested Tuesday at his Los Angeles home on a charge of possession of child pornography, Los Angeles police confirmed.

Best known as Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee, Salling, 33, was arrested after the LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant on Salling’s home in Sunland, a neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Mountains foothills.

Officer Ricardo Hernandez, a media spokesman for LAPD, confirmed the arrest and the charge of possession of child pornography, and said the actor is being booked in downtown Los Angeles. No other details were available yet, he said.

Salling was arrested at 9 am local time, and around 2:30 pm he posted $20,000 bail and was released, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department jail records. His next court date was listed as Jan. 22.

Crime Watch Daily, a new daytime syndicated crime show, was first to report the search warrant was served at the Sunland home.

Salling, who’s also a singer/songwriter, was a regular castmember on Glee until June 2013, when he shifted to a role as recurring guest star. Glee ended in March 2015.

In January 2013, Salling was sued for sexual battery by an ex-girlfriend, Roxanne Gorzela, who claimed he forced sex on her without a condom despite her entreaties. He denied the accusation and filed a countersuit for defamation of character.

The case was settled in March 2015, and Salling was ordered by a trial judge to pay her $2.7 million.

Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, Salling talked to E! on the SAG Awards red carpet. He said then the lawsuit was “fraudulent,” vowed to defend himself “vigorously,” and said he was trying to “stay positive.”

“I personally have a relationship with Jesus Christ and I count on that myself,” he said.
