( 4UMF NEWS ) Man Bailing Out Girlfriend Comes To Jail With Stolen Gun:
High there! When Ledarius Carmichael turned up at Dunwoody, Ga., police headquarters to bail out his girlfriend Monday, it seemed like a selfless act of love, reports the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
But because he stank of marijuana and was carrying drugs and a stolen firearm, it didn’t take long for cops to arrest him as well.
Officers were so astonished by the hapless 22-year-old’s actions that they posted a tongue-in-cheek public service message on Facebook.
“When visiting the Dunwoody headquarters to bail out a friend, we suggest that you: 1. Do not coming into the department smelling like marijuana. 2. You should not possess the marijuana on your person. 3. It is also not advisable to be in possession of a stolen firearm during your transaction at the police department.
“Trust me, we can’t make this up.”
After sniffing out the “extremely strong smell of marijuana,” officers took Carmichael to his vehicle and discovered “a loaded gun in plain view.”
Lovestruck Carmichael ended up being charged with theft by receiving, marijuana possession and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
