Man On Motorized Wheelchair Charged With DUI

( 4UMF NEWS ) Man On Motorized Wheelchair Charged With DUI:

Don't drink and drive… even if you're on a motorized wheelchair.

A Florida man was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with driving under the influence — his third in less than three years, according to his arrest record.

Ronny Scott Hicks, 54, was riding in his motorized wheelchair and blocking a bridge in Palm Bay, WKMG reported. When cops arrived at about 12:29 a.m., Hicks had slurred speech and reeked of alcohol, police said. He was uncooperative with cops and refused to take a Breathalyzer test, according to reports.

He also refused treatment for the gash across his forehead.

In 2013, Hicks was hit with four counts of DUI after caught driving a car, WBRZ reported. In February, he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He is being held on a $5,000 bail at the Brevard County jail.
