( 4UMF NEWS ) Man Robs Bank To Get Away From Wife:
Maybe he should have tried marriage counseling instead.
A 70-year-old Kansas bank robber told investigators he would rather be in jail than live with his wife.
Lawrence John Ripple gave a note to a bank teller in Kansas City on Friday, demanding cash and warning he had a gun.
Ripple took the money and went to sit in the lobby where he told a guard he was the “guy he was looking for.”

Ripple had earlier been arguing with his wife, according to an FBI affidavit. The suspect told investigators he wrote the note he gave to the teller in front of his wife.
He “wrote out his demand note in front of his wife … and told her he’d rather be in jail than at home,” an FBI agent wrote in an affidavit obtained by the Kansas City Star.
Ripple was charged with bank robbery on Tuesday.
