( 4UMF NEWS ) Meek Mill Appeals House Arrest:
Maybe, he wants to release another diss track. Rapper Meek Mill, who is one week into his 90 day house arrest, has filed an appeal to change the conditions of his sentence which forbid him from recording music, TMZ reported.
The 28-year-old reportedly has a studio in his home and wants to drop new rhymes while serving his home arrest for violating a 2009 probation, the gossip site reported.
Nicki Minaj’s beau dodged jail time last month but was ordered to serve out his sentence for a minimum of three months at home without releasing any new music.
Under the sentence, the “Tupac Back” singer would at the earliest be able to release a new track in June. Mill’s legal troubles date back to 2008 when he was arrested on charges of drug dealing and gun possession.
He violated his probation several times, with the most recent time being last fall with unapproved trips to see Minaj and attend the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Aside from legal troubles, the rapper has long been in a war of words with Drake after he alleged last July that the “Hotline Bling” singer didn’t write his own raps.
Both have since released diss tracks against each other, with Drake blasting Mill for only being an opening act on Minaj’s world tour.
“You love her then you gotta give the world to her,” Drake rapped in “Back to Back.” “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?”
Months later, Mill responded with his latest battle cry, “In da Plug Freestyle.”
“This that hundred K a night when you perform tour / Swimmin’ in that good p—- while you’re on tour, oh!” he rapped.
