( 4UMF NEWS ) News Anchor Arrested For Shoplifting:

A California news anchor was busted for shoplifting after workers inside a Coach store recognized her during a televised newscast, authorities said.

Sabrina Rodriguez — an anchor at Fox 40 News — surrendered to Sacramento police Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest in the March 2013 heist, KCRA-TV reported.

Police said that Rodriguez and an accomplice swiped 10 wallets worth $2,500 from the Folsom store.

The employees told police they recognized Rodriguez as one of the suspects after watching her on television, KVOR-TV reported.

Rodriguez was released on $10,000 bail after she was arraigned on charges that included grand theft, burglary and conspiracy. She was scheduled to return to court Aug. 29.

In a statement, KTXL-TV said that Rodriguez maintained she was innocent of the charges and was granted a voluntary leave of absence from the station.

Meanwhile, her fiancé, Nicholas Gray, was arrested on unrelated arson and drug charges, the local CBS affiliate reported.

Authorities would not confirm if the charges stemmed from the May 6 fire at the couple’s Sacramento home.

Gray was ordered held in lieu of $600,000 bail after he was arraigned on charges of arson, battery, manufacturing meth and possession of marijuana or hashish for sale.

He was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
