( 4UMF NEWS ) Offset Charged With Battery While Incarcerated:
Kiari Kendrell Cephus – better known as Offset of Migos – has been locked up since April 18th when their group and 12 others were arrested on gun and narcotics charges following a show at Georgia Southern University. Two weeks prior to today Quavo and Takeoff were released from jail after being denied bond a few days after the incident, while Offset and the other members of their crew remained behind bars due to prior felony convictions. They postponed their tour due to the situation beyond their control, and as of today, it looks as if they may be pushing it back further than what they had originally expected.
Offset got into a bit of trouble this weekend and was charged with battery and causing a riot in a penal institution. Jail surveillance footage shows Offset delivering blows to another inmate, giving him a “visible injury to the right side of the head.” The victim pointed his finger at the Migos’ member for his injuries after he was seen attacking the unidentified male by a jail night supervisor.
Offset is set to see the Bulloch County Superior Court Judge John R. Turner this Friday with the rest of the incarcerated crew on bond hearings. He’s currently being held on multiple charges including carrying a weapon in a school safety zone, marijuana possession, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime — one of them being a felony. Stay tuned to find out what will happen to Offset later in the week.
