( 4UMF NEWS ) Petition Calls For Fetty Wap To Perform At Nancy Reagan’s Funeral:
Fetty Wap performing at Nancy Reagan’s funeral? Just say no — even though a few thousand people want to say yes.
A petition was circulating online Monday — hours after Reagan passed away — for the rapper to perform his hit single “Trap Queen” at the former First Lady’s funeral.
Whereas most remember the former Hollywood starlet for her “Just Say No” anti-drug campaign, the Change.org petition draws criticism to her War on Drugs legacy, calling her “the most famous Trap Queen in American history.”
The petition goes on to call the Reagan matriarch “diabolical,” referencing conspiracy theories that her husband allowed CIA involvement in cocaine trafficking as she was fighting for stricter drug possession laws.
“It was an incredible sleight of hand that would make any wannabe Trap Queen hide in shame for her inability to be as diabolical as Nancy,” the petition-maker wrote.
“To commemorate her contribution to the Trap, we’d love to have Fetty Wap perform “Trap Queen” at Nancy’s funeral. To usher her to a better place…where she’s probably cooking pies with her baby,” the petition said.
The futile call for the rapper’s performance fetched over 3,500 signatures since being posted on Monday morning.
Even though the “679” singer has said his hit anthem is about the loyalty he’s received from women in his life, it’s well known it boils down to ladies who cook and deal illegal substances.
“I be in the kitchen cooking pies with my baby,” the 24-year-old raps.
