( 4UMF NEWS )Rex Ryan Sells NJ House:
Former Jets coach Rex Ryan, who decamped for Buffalo earlier this year after he was fired by Woody Johnson, has sold his gracious Colonial Revival home in Summit for $2.6 million — a very healthy $400,000 more than the listing price, according to Trulia.com.
The 5-bedroom, 5-bath house, which overlooks Watchung Reservation, was listed at $2.2 million in February and sold in late March. According to Zillow.com, Ryan paid $2.25 million for the home in 2009, when he became the Jets coach.
Buffalo Bills Introduce Rex Ryan
Rex Ryan, who moved from the Jets to the Buffalo Bills earlier this year, has sold his home in Summit.
Three of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the master has radiant floors. There is also an eat-in kitchen, a family room and office with built-in bookshelves, a rec room, an exercise room that could be converted to a sixth bedroom, and a patio with an outdoor fireplace. The lot is about a third of an acre, and the property taxes are $37,642.
It has few traces of the Ryans, with the exception of an oversized wall decal of a football helmet from Clemson — that’s where Ryan’s son Seth attend school — and a lone Jets pillow in the den.
Ryan’s real estate agent with Coldwell Banker had no comment on the sale.
