( 4UMF NEWS ) Teens Busting Selling Guns On Twitter:
Three gun-happy teens from New Jersey are accused of exploiting Twitter for a series of crimes — including illegally peddling firearms, authorities said.
Bomani Duncan, 19, was indicted Friday for 22 counts of robbery and gun trafficking, among other charges, Carolyn A. Murray, acting Essex County prosecutor, announced.
Authorities said Duncan is believed to be a member of the Bloods Street Gang’s G-Shine set and used Twitter to further his agenda against a rival gang.
Duncan and other alleged gang members also reportedly congregated at a firing range in Randolph, New Jersey to perfect their shooting skills, NJ.com reported.
Taquan Williams, 19, and Yasin Shabazz, 18, both face charges related to dealings with Duncan.
Shabazz is accused of attempting to purchase a revolver from Duncan without a gun permit, and in turn, vending a handgun to Duncan over Twitter, according to authorities.
The indictment alleged that Duncan posted a photo of his .32 caliber revolver on social media and conspired with Williams to rob a woman in March.
Williams faces robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery charges, as well as several weapon charges and a drug dealing charge.
It is unclear how many years each of the accused rifle-mongers face, if convicted.
