  ( 4UMF NEWS ) Three Dead After Shots Fired Near University Of Maryland, Baltimore: Four people were shot, three fatally, when a pair of gunmen opened fire in West Baltimore Tuesday night, according to reports. The two suspects jumped out of two light-colored vans and fired into a group of people on the corner of Fayette and Poppleton Sts. at around 11 p.m., University of Maryland, Baltimore police said. The university is located a few blocks east of the spot of the shooting. Four people were wounded in the gunfire, and one died at the scene, an alert from the university says. Two of the victims were males and the other two were females, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Emergency personnel rushed the victims to area hospitals, but two more were later pronounced dead, police told The Baltimore Sun. The fourth victim, who was shot in the back, is in stable condition, the newspaper reported.
