Three People Shot During Golden State Warriors Parade

( 4UMF NEWS ) Three People Shot During Golden State Warriors Parade: A shooting broke out as fans, players celebrated the big win by the Golden State Warriors nearby at an Oakland, Calif., rally on Friday, wounding three people, authorities said. Those wounded were found along Lake Merritt, Oakland authorities said, about four blocks from where the NBA championship parade of blue and yellow ended and became a basketball rally. The victims have non-life threatening injuries, authorities later added. It's believed the attack happened at 12:11 p.m. local time and was because of an argument from early Friday morning and was not related to the parade, investigators told KTVU-TV. The suspect then fled on foot, the Oakland Tribune reported citing a witness. A video shared to Twitter by an alleged witness shows teams of paramedics and police huddled over two people lying on the ground in the street and on the sidewalk along the 1800 block of Lakeshore Ave. The nearby rally, where the team’s head coach, Steve Kerr, and team’s general manager, Bob Myers, briefly spoke, according to a video stream through KGO-TV, did not appear to skip a beat despite the nearby police investigation.
