( 4UMF NEWS ) Woman Completes Test While Going Into Labor:

This new mom could pass any test. A pregnant Georgia woman decided her labor pains wouldn’t stop her from taking her college psychology exam Thursday, WAGA-TV reported.

Tommitrise Collins, 21, waited four or five hours at a hospital for her aches to subside without any medication and finished the online test in an hour and 30 minutes, she told the TV station.

The Middle Georgia State University pupil then gave birth to a seven-pound, 10-ounce baby girl named Tyler Elise after a total of 20 hours in labor. And she wound up with a B grade on the test.

Her sister Shanell Brinkley-Chapman posted a Facebook photo of Collins on her laptop in spite of her patient gown and her bulging stomach. A nurse from Macon’s Coliseum Medical Center looks on with a dazed expression in the photo.

“This is what you call ‘Strong Priorities,’” Brinkley-Chapman wrote under the photo. “Contractions 3 minutes apart and still takes her Psychology Test! You are going to be a great Mom baby sis!”

Collins told the TV station she was just trying to maintain her 3.6 GPA ahead of her scheduled 2016 graduation with a major in criminal justice. She doesn’t expect the newborn to deter her from that goal, she said.

“She is my life now, and the way I look at it is she will always have me to depend on, so my goals will not be put on hold,” Collins said. “I don't want to just barely make it by, I want my child to live comfortably, and I want to show people that just because I am considered a young mother doesn't mean I have to be considered a bad mother.”
